Ice show tickets, programs and technical rehearsal skater meals are now on sale in the RFSC Online Store.
Tickets and skater meals may be purchased in the store until Sunday, April 20. Programs may be purchased until Monday, April 21.
In light of Maureen Wismayer’s retirement, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Kyle Shropshire will be serving as the RFSC Interim Executive Director through the end of the school year contract.
Kyle is a current RFSC coach, a former professional skater and previously served as an operations manager for the figure skating program at Shattuck St. Marys. Kyle has both skating and business experience and he's in the process of completing his bachelor's degree in business administration. Kyle’s willingness to serve in this role enables the Board of Directors time to do a national search and find the right candidate to fill the Executive Director role long-term.
Kyle will continue his coaching responsibilities in addition to this interim role. He will be available in the RFSC office during office hours when he is not on the ice. Parents and skaters may also contact him via the link below, by calling the RFSC office as needed.
The Rochester Figure Skating Board of Directors regrets to announce that our executive director, Maureen Schembri Wismayer, has decided to retire within the next several weeks.
While we are happy for her and this new stage of life, she will be sorely missed. Maureen has been a huge part of the RFSC family and we wish her the best in her future adventures.
With Maureen’s departure, the personel committee of the Board of Directors has begun a search for a new executive director. The position is an 80% full-time equivalent position. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management (or related field) are preferred. For details on the position, download the RFSC Executive Director Job Description. Application materials as described in the Job Description should be submitted by January 28.
