Rhythm & Blades Teams in Action

2017-2018 Season

About Rhythm & Blades

Parents, do you want to know why your skater should join one of our teams for next season? Check out this video

Our coaches have guided our teams to a national pewter medal, nine sectional medals, and countless non qualifying championships. Our alumni have gone on to skate on Senior, Junior, and Collegiate teams. One of our alumni skated in the World Championships in 2017. See the descriptions below if you are interested in joining a team or contact our Synchronized Skating Director.

Synchro Skills Team

We are running classes this summer for skaters who want to try synchronized skating. We expect to have this team compete at two competitions, one of which will be our local Hiawathaland competition. The team will also skate in the ice show. More details can be found on the Synchro Skills Team Information page.

Pre-Juvenile Team

We may have a Pre Juvenile level team this season. If you have passed your pre-preliminary or preliminary moves-in-the-field test, this team is for you. A team at this level has 8–16 skaters the majority of which are under 12 years of age as of July 1, 2017. More details can be found on the Pre-Juvenile Team Information page.

Open Juvenile Team

We plan to field an open juvenile level team in the 2017–2018 season. A team at this level consists of 8–16 skaters under age 20. It is a very competitive division. U.S. Figure Skating rules require skaters to have passed a minimum of the pre-preliminary moves-in-the-field test, but we would expect skaters on this team to have passed higher tests than this. If you are interested in learning more about this team, see the Open Juvenile Team Information page.
